ArtElevate – Fostering inclusive cultural expression in Europe

ArtElevate or Elevating European art by individuals with intellectual disabilities through an innovative online platform spotlighting artists from Slovenia, Denmark, and Italy. This is where creativity knows no bounds – visual arts, performing arts, and video/photo arts will come to life. The platform is designed to be also an educational hub. It will offer rich educational content for artistic mentor and provide specialized resources and frameworks tailored to foster the creative talents of artists with intellectual disabilities.

A curriculum will empower professional artists to become mentors, equipping them with the pedagogical tools to guide artists with intellectual disabilities. These mentorship relationships will during the second core expand in 12 local workshops in all 3 countries fostering a productive ground for skill enhancement, artistic exploration, and mutual growth involving 5 artists with intellectual disabilities per country. Third core will bring partnering with cultural institutions and participating in various events, the project will ensure that the works of these talented artists find their spotlight, celebrating diversity and sparking conversations. ArtElevate doesn’t stop at creation and exhibition; it’s also about transformation. Through active dissemination and targeted advocacy, the project will share its insights and successes far and wide. It aims to influence policies and practices, facilitating the way for a more inclusive cultural sector where artists with intellectual disabilities are not just participants but celebrated contributors. As the project progresses, anticipates a series of significant results: a gallery rich with diverse artworks, a network of trained mentors, and an active community where learning and expression go hand in hand. ArtElevate is not just a project; it’s a movement. It’s about building a future where every artist has a platform, and where art is a bridge connecting worlds, perspectives, and hearts.
