i-Portunus third call for mobility launch in August

Goethe-Institut is launching the third Call for Applications on August 14th 2019. The focus remains on two sectors: the Performing Arts (except music) and the Visual Arts. Group applications and segmented mobilities remain eligible. Changes with mobility duration and objectives. Deadline: September 5th 2019.

Priložnosti · July 12, 2019

For the first time ever, the European Commission is planning a mobility scheme that will help individual artists and culture professionals take advantage of short-term (15–85 days) and flexible cross-border opportunities: to move between European countries, develop audiences and collaborations, find new inspiration, and fully benefit from – and contribute to – Europe’s diverse cultural ecosystems. The results of this pilot project will be key in shaping a new action in the Creative Europe programme, 2021–2027.

Between April and September 2019, the Goethe-Institut* will issue three calls (first call closed in May, second in June) to fund the mobility of individual artists and culture professionals of all ages, nationalities, educational qualifications and levels of experience from countries participating in the Creative Europe programme. In order to achieve a critical mass, this pilot project will focus on two sectors: the Performing Arts and the Visual Arts.

Third call launch in August

The focus remains on two sectors: the Performing Arts (except music) and the Visual Arts. Like the second call, group applications and segmented mobilities remain eligible, however mobilities must now be between 15 and 60 days and their objective must be either an international collaboration, a production-oriented residency or professional development.

The next Call, to be issued on August 14th 2019, is the last of three calls to financially support the mobility of artists and culture professionals of all ages, nationalities, educational qualifications and levels of experience, legally residing in a country participating in the Creative Europe programme.
The deadline for the third call is September 5th 2019 (14:00 CEST). Results will be announced on September 26th 2019.
