NORLA − Norwegian Literature Abroad, promotes the export of Norwegian literature through active profiling work and translation subsidies. The organisation disseminates knowledge about Norwegian books and authors abroad, and operations are financed by the Norwegian Ministry of Culture. Different types of subsidies are aimed at various target groups (translators, publishers, agents and media representatives to connect with Norwegian authors, agents and publishers) with support for translations, travel costs for working meetings, accommodation for translators or mentorship capacity-building programs for translators.
Various calls are open for different support schemes (different deadlines); see here.

The Ministry of Culture of Luxembourg supports translation of Luxembourg literature and translations of foreign authors for publication in Luxembourg in order to promote cultural cooperation with other countries. Subsidies are awarded as a full or partial reimbursement of the cost of translating a literary work (prose, poetry, drama, literature for children and young adults, literary essay, literary anthology). More info here.

The National Cultural Fund (FOCUNA Fonds culturel national) offers financial support for the publication of Luxembourgish authors by foreign editors. Eligible are literary works (novel, stories, short stories, poetry, play, essay, literary anthology, comic book, etc.) with a minimum print run of 250 copies. Children’s literature, youth literature, public relations, professional literature, etc. are not eligible. The grant cannot exceed 75 % of the total costs. The maximum amount is limited to €4000 for each work. More info here.
