The Creative Europe European Cooperation Projects (COOP) scheme provides support to organisations from different countries to carry out cultural and artistic activities together.

The COOP call for 2024 closed on 23 January 2024, followed by the evaluation period for project proposals. On 15 July, the EACEA informed the applicants whether (not) to co-finance their cooperation projects.

Applicants are therefore urged to check their emails and notifications on the FTOP portal as it is important to be responsive in communication with EU services.

609 proposals were submitted to FTOP in the small-scale category and 354 in the medium-scale. Of these, 295 small and 225 medium projects reached the above-threshold 70 points.

The Commission proposed 117 small-scale and 42 medium-scale cooperation projects for co-funding, with a budget of €57,075,356.75 (COOP-1) and €197,589.655.04 (COOP-2) respectively. The results are not yet final as the EACEA has now invited applicants to the EU grant application process.

The funding threshold for co-funding small-scale COOP-1 projects was set at 83, while for medium-scale COOP-2 cooperation projects it was set as high as 90 points (out of 100). The results have once again confirmed that this is a very busy, extremely challenging and competitive call.
