From 19 to 23 January 2020, Motovila Institute, in cooperation with the DutchCulture and Het Nieuwe Instituut, has implemented a study visit of Slovenian culture and creative sectors (CCS) to selected Dutch cultural organisations and venues. Besides Motovila, representatives from the Museum of Architecture and Design (MAO), Otok Institute and Kinoatelje had a chance to meet their peers, and experience a range of cultural and artistic venues and events in the Netherlands.

With the focus on architecture, design, cultural heritage, film and AV sector, 12 Slovene participants has explored cultural scenes in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. We have visited the following institutions: DutchCulture, Het Nieuwe Instituut, Stedelijk Museum, Droog, Waag, EYE Filmmuseum, UNStudio, Mondriaan Fund, Museums Association, Cinekid Film Festival, Green Filmmaking, IDFA, NDSM, World Press Photo, National Museum of World Cultures, Dutch Film Fund, Municipality Rotterdam, Stimuleringsfonds, Digital Playground, Blue City, International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR), Galerie VIVID …

The aim of the study visit was boosting transnational and interdisciplinary cooperation, mobility and synergies among different CCS operators and institutions from Slovenia and the Netherlands.
